Daniel John Bonnes

He was born in Buffalo, NY on Oct. 31 1962, the son of the late George J. and Shirley A. (Gardner) Bonnes. He was a graduate of Depew High School in Depew, NY in 1980. Following graduation he joined the United States Marine Corps serving in Okinawa, Japan. He was a lance corporal and proud member of the 2nd Battalion 4th Marine Division, affectionately referred to as the Magnificent Bastards. After leaving the Corps he spent years in various jobs including HVAC before getting a degree in drafting and spent the last 15 year as CAD Designer in the Atlanta GA area.

Dan moved from NY to TX in the early 90’s but finally settled in the Atlanta GA area where he lived for more than 30 years. He was a college football fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, enjoyed cheering them on and sharing that with his son Brandon.

He is survived by his children, Brandon Patrick of Ashburn, VA, Zachary Bonnes of Acworth, GA, Alana Kai of Houston, TX and the late Michelle Bonnes. He is the dear brother of Linda (Mike) Dziamski of Eden, NY, Lorraine (John) Angis, of Saco ME, George (Lisa) Bonnes of Gowanda, NY, Gregory (Patricia) Bonnes of Eden, NY, Sharon Lalen of San Leon, TX and the late Donna Simkins, of Pinehurst, TX. He is also survived by many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may gather for the memorial service on Monday, Oct. 21 at 11 am at WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY.
