Elaine J. Watson

Elaine was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School, Class of 1949 and worked as a Cashier for the former The Meat Counter in Dunkirk, for 10 years. She had previouslyworked as a waitress abd baker for the former Roof’s Restaurant of Silver Creek and also for Walker’s Fruit Basket of Sheridan.

Elaine was a member of the First Baptist Church, Dunkirk and she enjoyed spending her winters in Floral City, Florida.

Survivors include two sons David (Mary Ellen) Watson, of Silver Creek; and RobertWatson, of Fredonia. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren andseveral nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her grandmotherOra “Gram” Bondurant, her husband David A. Watson whom she married on November 24, 1951 in Silver Creek and who died June 29, 2018; son James Watson who diedDecember 27, 2022, a grandson Scott Watson, infant brother Clyde Roof, Jr. and two brothers Charles and Jay Roof.

Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm from where Funeral Services will be held at 8 o’clock with Rev. David Watson, son and pastor of Sheridan United Methodist Church, officiating. Private Interment will be in Sheridan Center Cemetery, Town of Sheridan.
