Mary Y. Christian

Mary Y. Christian of Silver Creek, NY passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 15, 2024 at her residence. She was born on Jan. 22, 1954 in Buffalo, NY the daughter of the late Albert and Anna (nee McDonald) Codd. Mary graduated from Silver Creek Central School in 1972. She worked for many years as a seamstress for New Era Cap Company. Mary was also a certified nursing assistant at Lakeshore Nursing Home, along with working many years at Rite Aid in Silver Creek. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, catching up with friends on Facebook, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary is survived by two beloved sons, Michael (Julie) Christian of Forestville, and Timothy ( Brianne Hazelton) Christian of Silver Creek; six cherished grandchildren, Skyler, Gavin, Madison, Alex, Anderson, and Emersyn; two loving sisters, Margaret “Susan” ( Fritz) Seegert, and Deborah (Vito Sr.) Flitt; a loving brother, Brian (Liz Vito) Codd of Lockport, NY; several nieces, and nephews, and also her best friend, the late Cindy (Butch) Maione of Jamestown, NY. In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by a sister, Sandra (late John) Pirritano, and two brothers, James and Joseph Codd. Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 from 4-7 PM. As per her wishes, services and interment will be private.
