Etta L. (LaPolt) Gee

Dunkirk — Etta L. (LaPolt) Gee, 93, of Dunkirk died Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk, following a short illness. She was born in Galeton, PA on June 28, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Howard and Edna (Lattin) LaPolt and was the last survivor of thirteen children.

Etta was a graduate of Emporium High School, Class of 1949 and was an active member of the former Circle of Love in Dunkirk.

She enjoyed crocheting afghans and doilies, gardening, reading and a good hot cup of tea. Etta loved flowers and roses.

Survivors include a daughter Regina Morgan, of Morgantown, WV, five sons Donald (Rose) Gee, of Dunkirk, Paul (Theresa) Gee, of Forestville, Michael Gee, of Dunkirk, Andy Gee, of Jamestown, and Jeffrey Gee, of Lake View, NY. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Horace Gee, whom she married on July 28, 1950 in Emporium, PA and who died in 1993 and two sons Richard and Gary Gee. Private visitation will be held at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Laona Cemetery at a later date.
