Jean E. Lucas, 77, of Silver Creek, died Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Dunkirk on July 29, 1947, the daughter of the late Richard and Alice (Brocksopp) Kuehn.
Jean was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1965 and worked as a Sewing Machine Operator for the former M. Wile Co., Dunkirk for 21 years. She also worked for a few companies in Pennsylvania from 1988-2013. Jean enjoyed gardening and being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter Hazel (Ray) Deet, of Silver Creek; a stepdaughhter Gwendolyn (Thomas) Maher, of CA; three sisters Shirley Stott, of GA; Peggy (Mark) Kirk, of Port Saint Lucie, FL; Betty (Charles) Brecht, of Forestville; a brother Roger Kuehn, of TN; a stepbrother James Kuehn of LA; a half brother Richard Kuehn, II of Forestville; two half sisters Debbie (Charles) Ortolano of Fredonia, and Kelly (Carl) Kaminski of Dunkirk; and brother-in-law Keith Lucas of Alpharetta, Georgia. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Ryan, Tyler, Karli Deet and Emily and Justin Maher, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Bruce Lucas, whom she married on July 25, 1998 in Pennsylvania and who died on Aug. 16, 2012.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main St., Forestville on Thursday from 3-5pm, from where Funeral Services will follow at 5 o’clock with Deacon John Setera, officiating.
