Michael B. Imm

Born May 13, 1961, Mike graduated from Cassadaga Valley in May of 1979. He went into the Air Force the day after his 18th birthday, where he served four years in the Air Force Security Police. Mike was a hard worker his entire life, starting early on Steve McChesney’s farm, and at Agway. After the Air Force, he was a truck driver for 40 years, working for Hills, CH Colvin, Fairbank Farms, R&L Smith, Prime Inc, NEP Broadcasting, and Walmart to name a few. He was also the owner and operator of several businesses: Imm & Son with his favorite Peterbilt “Big Red,” CI Logistics, M&W LLC with another prize Peterbilt “Home Wrecker,” and drove for more than three million miles… with no accidents. He ended his career with a stint at Heil Transportation.

In his life he wore a lot of hats, on the job and at home; he was a proud husband to his beloved wife Wendy, whom he married Aug. 1, 2009, and a proud father. Mike’s favorite role, however, was Papa; more than anything, he loved spending time with his grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his father, Frank L. Imm. He is survived by his wife Wendy, of Cassadaga; mother, Pauline Walker Imm, of Forest City, NC; brother, Mark (Julia) Imm, of Newark, DE; sister, Tina (Brian) Marz, of Abilene, TX; son, Justin Imm, of Sinclairville; son, Jake Carlstrom, of Sinclairville; daughter, Jenna (Travis) Perry, of Cassadaga; grandchildren Aiden Weber, Riley and Wyatt Carlstrom, Benjamin and Juliet Perry; Uncle Bill and Aunt Virginia, of Westfield; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will host a celebration of life at Cassadaga Legion on May 24 from 12-3. Mike will be interred at Charlotte Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750
