Dorothy G. Smith, 92, formerly of Perrysburg, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Heritage Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility in Jamestown.
Born in Gowanda, NY March 1, 1933 the daughter of Herbert and Marietta (Pine) Glair.
Survivors include two sons: Michael Smith of Perrysburg, Alan (Beverly) Smith of Perrysburg, and a daughter; Jeanette (Paul) Ray of Sinclairville; grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Craig and Nate; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Hazel and Andrew. Dorothy is also survived by a sister Ruth Ann Rutledge of Liverpool, NY, along with nieces, and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Marietta Glair, her husband Robert D. Smith , Robert and Dorothy were married in 1953. Robert passed away in 1994. Their son Gary S. Smith passed away Nov. 29, 1980, and grandson Benjamin passed away Oct. 19, 1995.
A graveside service will be held at the Pine Hill Cemetery Gowanda, (Sect. D lower gate along cemetery fence line) Saturday May 17, 2025 at 11 am (please assemble at cemetery) .
