Roque Cruz died Saturday, May 17, 2025 at UPMC, Jamestown, NY, after a short illness. He was born on June 1, 1956 in Buffalo, NY, the son of the late Belen and Moses Cruz Sr. He was raised and educated in the Village of Fredonia, and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua, in Fredonia, NY. He is survived by three brothers, Moises (Maria V.) Cruz Jr., and Luis (Maria P.) Cruz of Dunkirk, NY, and Arthur Cruz of Fredonia, NY. Arrangements by FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOME, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Thursday, May 22, 2025 at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fredonia, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at FANTAUZZI FUNERAL HOME, 82 E. Main St., Fredonia, NY, on May 21, 2025 from 5 to 8 PM. Interment will be at St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery. Donations will be gratefully accepted, in his memory, by the Resource Center at 200 Dunham Ave., Jamestown, NY.
