Barry Clark
Barry Clark, of Fredonia, passed away on Wednesday, June 11th, 2025 at Absolut Care of Westfield, after an extended illness. He was born on March 15th, 1944. Barry was the adopted son of the late H. Lee and the late Esther (Hallquist) Clark.
Barry served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967 as an APP Air Policeman.
Following his time in the service, Barry worked at Proto-tool in Jamestown, Annex in Dunkirk, the Chautauqua Lake Estates, and the former WCA Hospital in Jamestown. After his retirement, he enjoyed following his favorite football team, the Buffalo Bills, fishing, camping, doing crafts for family members, and family gatherings for any occasion. Barry was always happy to chat about his children, grand children and great grand children and kept up with all of them.
Surviving is his wife, of 49 years, Judy (Barrus) Clark, a son Joseph Clark, five daughters- Jane (Bernard) Lindquist, Janet (Carl) Van Curen, June Abbey, Jenny (Mike) Sterner and Peggilee Hammond. He is also survived by his 13 Grandchildren, 21 Great grandchildren, and 2 Great-great grandchildren, as well as his sister Linda Becker and many extended family members including nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, Barry was preceded in death by a daughter Heidi-Jo Clark, one son-in-law John Hammond, and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Larson-Timko Funeral Home in Fredonia, with calling hours on Tuesday, June 17th from 6pm – 8pm and Wednesday, June 18th, from 10am – 11am with funeral services at 11am and burial to follow with full military honors at the Laona Cemetery. A celebration of life gathering will then be held at the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club in Dunkirk, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Absolut Care of Westfield, the Chautauqua County Humane Society, or a charity of one’s choice.
