Janice M. (Trippy) Houser Majkowski, a beacon of warmth and joy, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at her birthplace, Westfield, NY, at the age of 79. Born on Nov. 28, 1945, to the late Cosmo and Lillian (Lewis) Trippy. Jan, a graduate of (WACS) in 1963 went on to work at The Westfield Sewing Company until its closure. Her nurturing nature was evident in every role she committed herself to, especially as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Janice is predeceased by her beloved siblings Barbara Jackson, Gary Trippy, and Terry Trippy. She is survived by her children Robert (Cyndi) Houser, Brian (Nora) Houser, Craig (Judy) Houser; her cherished grandchildren Valerie, Jeffrey(Carrie), Joseph (Vanessa), Charles (Kathryn), Joshua (Rachel), Rachel, Hannah, and Megan Houser; and 16 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and the father of her children, Bill Houser, sharing a lasting bond of family unity. Janice lived her faith through her actions. Her interests in history and genealogy reflected her love for the stories that bind families and communities over generations. Janice enchanted her grandchildren and great grandchildren with tales of the past and original songs that will echo in their hearts forever.
