Norma Carol Colvin

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Norma Carol Colvin, 82, of Stow, formerly of Cherry Creek, NY who passed away Sept. 20, 2024, will be held at 11 am Thursday, July 3, 2025, in the Cherry Creek Cemetery.

Born in Dunkirk, NY on Aug. 3, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Sheldon and Harriett [Dorsett] Hubbard. She was a 1960 graduate of Forestville High School and later a graduate of Jamestown Business College. She worked at the Angola Travel Plaza on the NY State Thruway, the Harkness Feed Mill, and for the Hotel Jamestown. In 1967, she joined her husband in business as proprietors of Colvin’s Keystone Service, and later C. H. Colvin, Inc. – a petroleum distribution and trucking company.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years Charles H. Colvin in 2003; her son, Lance G. Colvin in 1994; her brother, Robert N. Hubbard in 2022; and her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Michelle R. [Richard] Colvin Foster of Orlando, FL; three grandchildren, Alexandra [Levi] Foster Snyder, Morgan R. Foster, and Zachary L. Foster, all of Orlando FL; and one great-grandson, Maverick D. Snyder of Orlando, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Colvin Family Community Engagement Fund, c/o Chautauqua Region Community Foundation, 418 Spring St., Jamestown, NY [www.crcfonline.org]. This fund, recognizing the Colvin family business community, will serve non-profit and municipalities within the Pine Valley Central School District boundaries.
