Patrick J. Fagan

Patrick Joseph Fagan, 85, of Williamsville, NY; born in Dunkirk, NY; most beloved husband and best friend of Janice Walek for 32 years; son of the late Herbert and Eleanor (nee Falco) Fagan; brother of Marjory (Dennis) Begley and the late Michael (Barbara Jean) Fagan and late Barbara (Late Bill) Spoerl; brother-in-law of Wendy Zito; uncle of Amber and Elliott Ash; great uncle of Ethan Ash “Banana Man”; also survived by nieces, nephews, friends, colleagues and his Shea’s Family. Patrick received an M.A. in Comparative Government from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and a B.S. in Business Administration from St. Joseph University in Philadelphia. He was President of Shea’s Performing Arts Center for 16 years and was responsible for the expansion of the state-of-the-art stagehouse making it possible for blockbuster Broadway shows to visit Buffalo. Patrick was on the faculties of the University at Buffalo, SUNY Fredonia, Trocaire College and Erie Community College as an adjunct professor. Patrick worked for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, MCI in Washington D.C., other companies and also did consulting. He was honored many ties for his contributions to the arts community, including the Michael Shea Lifetime Achievement Award, induction into The Western New York Entertainment Hall of Fame and the Arts Services Lifetime Achievement Award. Patrick enjoyed reading, theater, cooking, NY Times crossword puzzles, going to the movies, playing cards, history and politics. Patrick’s family would like to thank the 2East staff at Brothers of Mercy for the compassionate care he received. T.S.
