Randy L. Couchman

Randy L. Couchman
Randy L. Couchman, 59, passed away suddenly on Friday May 30, 2025 in his home in Monroe, Georgia.
Randy was born in Dunkirk, NY on Oct. 1, 1965, the son of Ronald (late) and Sharon Thayer Couchman of Fredonia, NY.
Randy attended and graduated from Fredonia Central Schools. He was a loving and devoted companion, son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His kids and family meant the absolute world to him. He would give you the shirt off his back if needed.
Randy enjoyed watching NFL and NASCAR and was a die-hard Dale Earnhardt and San Francisco 49ers fan. Watching Nascar and NFL with his son were some of his favorite pastimes. His most favorite football players, however, were most definitely his son and grandsons. He looked forward to watching them play on Friday nights and bragged about them to whoever he came in contact with. He was excited to hopefully watch one of his youngest grandsons play football in college.
Randy had a career in construction and concrete work. The man knew his concrete. He loved to jam out to classic rock and get dirty. He wasn’t Randy if he wasn’t covered head to toe in that red Georgia clay. Some believed his skin was stained red because of it. His mother would agree that growing up he was never clean, as spent his days outside in the woods and grape vineyards. He enjoyed riding dirt bikes with his brothers, annoying and beating up on his sisters and helping his dad with the John Deere and tending the family vineyard. Being a grandfather was the highlight of his life by far. He loved to do boy things like monster trucks and getting dirty with his grandsons while also allowing his granddaughter to paint his nails and brush his “hair.” His grandchildren are going to miss their “Grandpa Georgia” deeply.
In addition to his lovely mother Sharon, Randy is survived by his children, Nichole (John) Kuznicki of Knoxville, TN, his son and namesake, Randy Lee Couchman Jr. of Ogden, UT, and his stepdaughter, Brandy Luther of Jeffersonville, GA. Randy was also the very proud Grandfather of seven grandchildren, Deion, Jimmie, Jayveion, Juliannah, Morgan, Nancy and Dalton. He beamed with pride anytime they were around or even mentioned. Randy also has two surviving siblings, Connie (Ron) Azeez and Ken Couchman, both of Fredonia, NY. His former wife and friend, Connie Couchman of Jeffersonville, GA, also survives. While being a father, his nieces and nephews also meant the world to him. He was very loved by his niece Azshaya (Mike) Beichner, Dakota Couchman, Chance Couchman, Sierra Couchman and Stephanie (Rob) Salgado. He is also survived by his significant other Vickie Rushing of Monore, GA.
Randy was preceded in death by his father Ronald Couchman, his older sister Julie Breyer and his little brother Scott Couchman. No doubt that the heavens are rejoicing.
A graveside service will be held at Portland Evergreen Cemetery and celebration of life at the family home on Adams Road immediately after for family and friends on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 1 pm.
Memorial Contributions on behalf of Randy can be made to the Brocton Baptist Church, 33 W. Main St. Brocton, NY 14716.
