William B. Horn

William B. Horn, 70, of Westfield, N.Y. passed away unexpectedly on Monday May 19, 2025 at his property (farm) in Westfield, N.Y.

He was born in Batavia, N.Y. The late son of Bruce and Betty (nee Hoak) Horn. On Aug. 27, 1977, he married the former Laurie DeBoy in Derby, N.Y.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter Barbara (Joel) Deets and a son Jason Horn of Jamestown, N.Y.

Bill graduated from Lake Shore Central School Angola, N.Y. in 1973. Bill grew up and spent his childhood in Derby, N.Y., where he met his wife before moving to Westfield, N.Y., in 1983. He retired from General Electric in Erie, PA in 2015 after more than 42 years of service. He was also the owner and operator of his business WTA Enterprises. He was a 20 year Peace Officer for the Westfield Auxillary Police/Chautauqua County Office of Emergency Management.

In his younger years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle, taking long bicycle rides, going for walks, and spending time with his grandparents.

He had an interesting sense of humor and a quick wit. He loved nature and enjoyed being outdoors.

He was a problem-solver who took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He could often be found in his basement or garage working on different projects.

In his spare time, he could be found working on and tinkering with his computers. He loved listening to music and had a vast music collection. He also loved taking long walks with his children and spending time with his family.

Friends may call at the Mason Funeral Home, 37 Clinton St. Westfield, NY on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 4-7 PM. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
