Debbie Sue Munson

Debbie’s most cherished role was “Grandma Baby” to her only grandchild, David. He was the apple of her eye and even when talking became difficult, texting allowed them to stay in constant contact.

She leaves behind a faithful fiance, John Stevens and two daughters Christina (Michael) Crocker of Virginia Beach and Melinda (Brian) Barry of Fredonia. Also left to mourn her loss are her brothers Michael Munson and Robert (Stephen) Munson. Debbie’s village was great. She treated all as if they were family. She will be missed by many.

Debbie is reunited in death with a son, Mark Mekus, her brother; Jeffery Munson and her parents David & Theresa Munson. Of course, the reunion wouldn’t be complete without several of her sweet little dogs she lovingly cared for throughout the years.

Beyond the delight of being a grandma, Debbie loved the countless patients she had cared for at the Chautauqua County Home. They held a very special place in her heart and brought her joy to care for them.

In keeping with her loving and generous spirit, it was Debbie’s decision to donate her organs and tissues so that others may live. While she is deeply missed by her family and loved ones, this brings them great peace. Even in her passing, she is helping others.
