James M. Sedota
James M. Sedota, 83, of Fredonia, NY, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Jim wasborn Dec. 8, 1941 in Dunkirk, NY to John G. and Jennie Lazarony Sedota. He was raised in Fredonia and graduated from Cardinal Mindszenty High School and Bryant and Stratton Business School. He served as the Fredonia Village Administrator for 30 years and the ClaimsAdjuster for the Fredonia Central School District at the time of his death. Jim had a passion for golf and he especially enjoyed playing the Vineyards Golf Course in Fredonia. He was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Church and a former member of the Fredonia Beaver Club.
He is survived by four children: Lisa (Charles) Reinhardt, John (Trish) Sedota, Marie Sedota and James P. (Trudee) Sedota of Cambridge, UK; grandchildren: Kristen (Ryan) Hughes, DerekSedota, Cayden Sedota, Jackie (Kevin) Martin, Jessica Carter, Louie Sedota and Cordelia Sedota; also survived by: Dadie (Gladys) Sedota, four great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, John and Jennie Sedota, Jim is predeceased by his brother John (late Laura)Sedota.
Visitation will be at the LARSON-TIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Ave., Fredonia, on Sunday,July 20 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church,1032 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY, Monday, July 21 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. AnthonyCemetery.
