Jeanette K. Peglowski

Jean was born in Gowanda Feb. 6, 1932 the daughter of John and Marian (Ribbel) Krebs.

Jeanette married Frank A. Peglowski June 1, 1963, Frank passed away Dec. 7, 2008.

Jean worked for New York State in several capacities through the years including the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center and Gowanda Central School District where she worked as a clerk in the business office. Jean also worked in the business office of Gowanda Correctional Facility. Her state service spanned more than 30 years.

Jeanette was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gowanda, she served on various church committees and worked in the church office for many years.

Survivors include children; Tracy (Pamela) Peglowski of York, NY, Tarie (Robert) Dahn of Fredonia, Tina ( Gary) Kwiatkowski of Collins ,John ( Mary) Peglowski of Gowanda and William Peglowski also of Gowanda. Grandchildren; Trisha (Brian) Pangrazio, Lindsey (Eddie) Ruffo, Justin (George Roewer) Peglowski, Robert Dahn Jr. , Christian “CJ” (Teagan) Peglowski, Trevor Peglowski, Marah (Eric) Dahnczyk, Erin (Eirik) Moore, Bre (Joe) Gardon, Casey Peglowski, and Sara (Shawn) Klager. Great grandchildren; Jacob, Brody, Jaylynn, Emma, Hudson and Dawson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides her parents and her husband of 45 years Jean was preceded in death by a sister Joan Karr and a step daughter Susan Peglowski.

Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME 44 Center St. Gowanda on Monday Aug. 4, 2025 from 4:00-7:00pm. Jeans funeral will be held Tuesday Aug. 5, 2025 @ 11:00am from the First Presbyterian Church 64 East Main St. Gowanda (please assemble at church) , Rev. K. C. Porter officiating . Interment will be in the Pine Hill cemetery Gowanda.
