Sally J. Egan

Sally J. Egan
Sally J. Egan, 76, of Dunkirk, died Saturday, July 12, 2025 at St. Columban’s On The Lake Retirement Home, Silver Creek. She was born in Bath on May 7, 1949, the daughter of the late Carroll and Mildred (Mullikin) Loucks.
Sally was a graduate of Hammondsport High School and could always be found in the middle of the action; either as an event planner, or a costume and wardrobe professional for various stage productions. Her home boasts the most amazing Broadway posters, showered with accolades for her fantastic work and precision. She changed lives behind the curtain as well as across the stage. Sally was a “pie junkie” and an absolute wizard in the kitchen. She could resurrect her mother’s family recipes from memory and loved to bake for her friends & community. Sally really loved to share her passion in the kitchen with her family, especially her grandkids. Sally’s legacy will live on forever though her wonderful family.
Survivors include three sons; Christian (Carissa) Egan, of Norman, OK, Daniel (Susan) Egan, of South Dayton, Ryan (Jessica) Egan, of Rochester, two sisters; Linda McConnell, of Kingston, NC, Julie(Graham) Ritchie, of Cazenovia, and four brothers; William Loucks, of Pembroke, Joseph Loucks, of Hammondsport, Charles Loucks, of Boulder, CO, Jamie (Dawn) Loucks, of Bath. She will be deeply missed by her six grandchildren; Jackson, Cecelia, Nathaniel, Benjamin, Rylie and Emma, along with several nieces & nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Gary Loucks.
There will be no visitation observed. A Celebration of Sally’s life will be held at a later date. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to St. Columban’s On The Lake Retirement Home, 2546 Lake Road, Silver Creek, NY 14136.
