Dianne M. (Madurski) Burgess, 53, of Dunkirk, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2025 at UPMC Hamot in Erie, PA. Born in Dunkirk on March 9, 1972, wife of Howard Burgess and daughter of Thomas and Betty (Maternowski) Madurski.
Dianne was an outgoing and fun-loving individual, a beloved soul whose presence brightened the lives of those fortunate enough to know her.
She devoted over ten years of her career to serving as a housekeeper for David Civilette and was also a valued employee at the Clarion Hotel in Dunkirk. Her outgoing personality shone brightly during her time as a bartender at the Fillmore, where she was beloved by many customers. Dianne took great pride in building relationships and friendships with patrons, often drawing in numerous visitors with her charm and to her work.
Outside of her professional life, Dianne was deeply passionate about her family. She adored her children and grandchildren, cherishing the moments spent with them above all else. Dianne’s affection extended to her beloved cat, Mimi, whom she spoiled with the utmost care and attention.
In her free time, she enjoyed coffee, cleaning, playing card and board games, and taking trips to the casino with her family and friends.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Howard Burgess; her mother, Betty (Maternowski) Madurski; children Ashley (Jason) Rodriguez, Austin Burgess and Aaron Burgess; grandchildren Alexiia, Lilliiana, Julian, and Veya Rodriguez; sisters Susan (Frank) Ippolito, Sharon (Jack) Ippolito, and Mary Jo (Aneco) Richardson; and her mother-in-law Jean Burgess. She is also survived by many nieces, and nephews.
Dianne is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Madurski.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY. Interment will be held in private.
