John J. “Jack” Schrantz, 88, of Dunkirk, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, August 23, 2025 at home. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc.; 56 East Doughty Street, Dunkirk, NY. Military Honors will be held at 6:30 p.m. by the Dunkirk Joint Veteran Council. Interment will be held in private. A complete obituary will be published in Tuesday’s edition of the Dunkirk Observer.
