Marvin J. Cross

Marvin was proud of his Indian heritage as he was a member of the Seneca Nation. He served in the United States Army from 1968-1972. Marvin was a member of the Fredonia Beaver Club, Fredonia Memorial American Legion Post #59, the Dunkirk Moose Club and Cassadaga Golf Club.

He was a passionate golf enthusiast as he enjoyed both playing and watching golf on television. He was also a longtime Buffalo Bills fan. Marvin was a consummate tinkerer as he delighted in taking things apart and putting them back together.

Marvin is survived by his wife of 56 years, Beverly A. Cross of Fredonia; his son, Scott (Grishma) of Pittsburgh, PA ; his daughter, Janette Shaffner of Rochester, NY; grandchildren: Isabella Maxwell, Zoe Maxwell and Cooper Shaffner; a brother, Max Cross of Cassadaga and Terry (Kristen) Cross of Portland, OR; also survived by several nieces, nephews and his beloved dachshund, Rupert.

A Celebration of Life will be held and announced at a later date.
