David H. Wallen
David H. Wallen, 82, of Fredonia, NY, passed away Sunday Sept. 14, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. Dave was raised in Fredonia, attended Fredonia schools and graduated from Fredonia High School in 1961. He also attended the Chicago Technical College. Dave served in the United States Army from 1964-1966. He was Head of Maintenance at Carriage House from where he retired. He was the Plant Engineer at Welch’s in Westfield and North East, PA for 20 years. He was an avid hunter and Buffalo Bills fan. Dave enjoyed NASCAR and fixing things as he was a “Tinkerer”.
Dave is survived by his longtime partner, Cathy Karalus; two sons: John Wallen (Katie Berner- Wallen), of Angola and Richard Wallen of Fredonia; three stepchildren: Sarah Michalak, Kristin Stalter and Sylvia Karalus, all of Mayville; and four grandchildren: Danelle Wallen, Raiden Stalter, Kiya Stalter and Robert Karalus.
Besides his parents, Howard and Angela Wallen, Dave is predeceased by his sister, Judith Mancuso.
Funeral services will be held and announced at a later date.
