James A. Miller

James A. Miller, 92, passed away Saturday Sept. 13, 2025, with his son by his side. He was born Feb. 24,1933 to the late James and Fern (Willson) Miller. Due to his mother’s passing at an early age, he was raised by his stepmother, the late Ruth (Willson) Miller. Jim served in the United States Air Force in Waco, Texas as an aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going to car shows throughout Chautauqua County with family, friends and neighbors. He always looked forward to his daily morning coffee with friends at Country Fair in Brocton. Until his retirement, Jim was employed by the Fredonia Central School District as well as a school bus driver with D & F Transit bus lines. Jim is survived by his children: Polly (Vince) Cimino of Jamestown, NY, Jimmy (Barbara Buck), of Brocton, NY, Paula (John) Wise, of Fredonia, NY and Allen (Robin) Miller, of Erie , PA; grandchildren: Sean (Nicole) Wise, of Hamburg, NY, Ryan (Eileen) Wise, of Dunkirk, NY, Jessica (Ezekiel) Resto, of Fredonia, NY and Stephanie Miller, of Hamburg, NY; great- grandchildren: Joseph and Cameron Wise, of Hamburg, NY, Michael & Zoey Wise, of Dunkirk, NY, Jesiel, Anaya and Ayana Resto, of Fredonia, NY; nieces: Shyla (the late Edward) Gunther, of Erie, PA, Amy Podgulski, of Rochester, NY and Darlene (Daniel) Parker, of Fredonia, NY. Besides his parents, Jim is predeceased by his sisters: Eileen (John) Olson, Beverly (Florian) Cieslewicz and one niece: Diane (Cieslewicz) Mekus.
