Thomas R. DeCeilio

Thomas R. DeCeilio
Thomas R. DeCeilio died unexpectedly at his home in Dunkirk, NY. He was the son of Marie (Maggio) DeCeilio and the late Herbert DeCeilio. Born on December 11th, 1951, Tom was 73 years old.
A native of Fredonia, NY, Tom attended school locally. He graduated from the Fredonia Central Schools and began his post-secondary education at the State University of New York at Fredonia. He also went on to attend Ithaca College. However, during the Vietnam Conflict, Tom paused his studies to answer the call of duty and joined the United States Air Force, with which he served four years. After honorably serving his country, Tom resumed his higher education at the University of Las Vegas, in Las Vegas, NV, where he lived and worked for several years before moving to California. Eventually, Tom returned to his roots back in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area.
Tom was predeceased by his father, Herbert. He is survived by his mother, Marie (Maggio) DeCeilio; his sisters Jennifer (Michael) Tomkiewicz, Angela (Thomas) Lesch, Cindy (Joel) Chimera, Lisa (Dana) Riforgiato; all of Fredonia, NY; his brother Herbert (Joanne) DeCeilio of Pompano Beach, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Tom’s canine friends were a very important part of his life. He will be missed, greatly, by his beloved Boston Terriers — Rosebud, Toby and Conchetta. Flowers are gratefully declined. Please offer a donation to the Lakeshore Humane Society, 431 E Chestnut St, Dunkirk, NY, in his memory. At Tom’s request, funeral services and interment will be held privately.
