Willis G. Allen Jr.

He was born June 7, 1936 in Warren, PA the son of the late Wliis G. Sr. and Mabel (Payne) Allen.

On March 26, 1955 he married the former Jeanette Wheaton who predeceased him on April 12 2016.

Mr. Allen worked as an Ironworker with Local #6 in Buffalo, NY for many years and he also worked for the Town Of Persia for 10 years.He owned and raced Horses and was a member of the Harness Racing Association and was an avid outdoorsman.

He is survived by two sons David (Barb Moore) Allen and Michael (Late Kathy) Allen both of Gowanda, NY and two daughters Barbara (Jim Jensen) Heitzenrater of Gowanda, NY and Cyndi (Scott Ferry) Nugent of Wyoming, NY and 10 grandchildren Jessica(Dave) ,Nicole(Jake) , Renee(Jason), Becky(Travis), Michael Jr., Melinda(Devin), R.J., Patrick(Alyssa, Austin(Nicole) and Shane, 18 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his loving wife he was predeceased by a brother Richard(Rosie) Thurston and a sister Myrtle Tilyou.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 105 East Main Street in Gowanda, NY.
