Barbara A. Willis

Barbara A. Willis, 72, of Dunkirk, died Friday evening Oct. 24, 2025 at South Buffalo Mercy hospital surrounded by her family. She was born July 16, 1953 in Dunkirk, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Taft. A lifelong resident of the area, Barbara was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, she had been employed at the M. Wile corporation for 30 years as a supervisor. After the closing of the M. Wile plant, she worked at the Dom Polski club while attending Bryant and Stratton college where she earned her Associate’s degree.

She enjoyed golfing, bowling and softball, going on trips and cruises, but most of all spending time with her family. Barbara was an avid Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees fan.

She was a member of the Dom Polski club, and a former member of the Dunkirk Moose Lodge and Kosciusko club. Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers Richard and William Taft. Barbara will be missed by many and remembered for her kind-heart and selflessness.

Survivors include her husband Donald Willis whom she married Sept. 27, 1980, three children: Steve Krystofiak (Ally Rosing) of Dunkirk, Donny Willis(Jenny Willis) of West Seneca, Danielle Killock (Dan Beiter) of Lockport; nine grandchildren, Alyssa Dudzic of South Carolina, Steven and Jordan Krystofiak both of Dunkirk Savanna Krystofiak of Fredonia, Jayden Killock of Lockport, Hannah Rosing of Dunkirk, Alyssa Killock of Lockport, Aubrey and Adasyn Willis both of West Seneca; and two Great Granddaughters.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc; 56 East Doughty St., Dunkirk, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following at the Dom Polski Club; 179 Lake Shore Drive E, Dunkirk, NY. Interment will be held in private.
