Grace (Pellerino) Peatman, 92, of Heritage Green Rehab & Skilled Nursing Facility in Greenhurst, NY, passed away Friday morning, October 3, 2025. Born in Jamestown, NY on Oct. 30, 1932, she was the wife of the late Joseph Peatman and daughter of the late Angelo and Rose (LaCola) Pellerino.
Grace had a fulfilling career, having worked at Bells in Buffalo, Valones Butcher Shop in Dunkirk, and her family’s flower shop, Plant Place, in Buffalo.
Known for her fun-loving nature, Grace was well-liked by friends and family alike. She possessed a good sense of humor that could light up any room and bring comfort to those around her.
In her leisure time, Grace was an avid Bingo player. She also had a passion for ceramics and enjoyed visiting the casino with family and friends.
Grace is survived by her loving grandson, John (Lisa) Zambotti, Jr. and great grandchildren Alex Zambotti and Brooklyn Allnatt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Grace is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Peatman and her daughter Linda Peatman.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 10, 2025 at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Dunkirk. Arrangements are by the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc.; 56 East Doughty St., Dunkirk, NY.
