Ronald Allen Archer
Ronald Allen Archer, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 6, 2025. He was born on Aug. 10, 1970 in Westfield, NY to Nancy (Burgess) and the late Richard Archer.
He is preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Nanette and George Batten and Ruth and Roy Archer; an aunt; and several uncles.
Ron retired as a Lieutenant from the Polk County Correctional Institute in Polk City Florida. After his retirement, he moved to North East, Pa and was currently employed as the assistant manager for Phantom Fireworks.
He graduated from Ripley Central School class of 1989. During his high school years, Ron was a class officer for his senior class and was a member of the baseball team. He participated in the town’s Babe Ruth baseball team and played youth hockey for Erie Youth Hockey on both house and travel teams for several years. While living in Florida, he became a youth hockey coach and played hockey for the Enforcers. He would play in the annual Gun’s and Hose’s hockey tournaments and won the cup. He was also a member of the Masons.
Ron enjoyed life, whether he was watching the Buffalo Bills, going to an Erie Otters game (season ticker holder), hanging out with his friends Liz and Pete at Coney Island restaurant, spending time with family and friends or reconnecting with old friends. He had just discovered a new passion for flying with his friend Pete on his plane. He had a way of making friends everywhere he would go. If you were a friend of his, you were a friend for life.
