Mary Lou King

Mary lived a life defined by service, strength, and unwavering faith. She made her home with her companion, Keith Brubaker, who remained by her side through the many challenges she faced. She worked at Truck-Lite and later at the Jamestown Post Office, where she retired.

A caretaker in every sense of the word, Mary devoted countless hours to helping others. She was a member of the Sinclairville Baptist Church. She served with the Sinclairville Fire Department as an EMT and Auxiliary member, delivered Meals on Wheels, and even played a meaningful role in helping a child find a forever family through adoption. Her home was always open–especially during the holidays, when she cooked for anyone who needed a warm meal or a place to belong.

Mary’s faith in God was the foundation of her life. Her strength, hope, and refusal to give up–despite the adversity of illness and a difficult accident–were inspiring to all who loved her. She was an extraordinary woman whose kindness reached far beyond her family.

Mary was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeffrey Pastor; her husband, Robert King; her brother, Harold Maloy; and her parents.

She is survived by her children: Rhonda Pilarski; Dennis (Carleen) Pastor; and Raynal Elderkin-Cassatt. She is also survived by her stepchildren: Woodrow (Michelle) King; Samantha (Mark) States; and Bobby (Ann) King; along with many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is further survived by her siblings, Doug (Lori) Maloy, Peggy Maloy, and Diane Maloy, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved deeply, with one favorite, you know who you are!

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sinclairville 76ers or Chautauqua County Hospice.

A memorial service will be held at the Sinclairville Fire Department on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025, at 11 a.m.

Mary leaves behind a legacy of compassion, faith, and love. She will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.
