Ann Marie Ressler

Ann Marie Ressler,62, a beacon of love and dedication in her community, passed away peacefully on Dec. 8, 2025 at UPMC Hospital in Jamestown, NY. Born on Sept. 21, 1963, in San Jose, California. After spending her childhood in San Jose her family moved to Westfield, NY in 1977 where she spent the rest of her life. Ann would grow to touch the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and service.

Ann Marie, a cherished wife to James Ressler, was a devoted mother to her loving daughters, Alyssa (Chelsea) Froman and Miranda (Colton) Myers. Also dear to her were her children, Kelvin, Gabrail, and Isaiha Zerbey. The joy of her life was further multiplied by the laughter of her grandchildren, Grayson, Callen, and Kaia. Survived by her mother, Mary Ann Ellington, her sister, Penni Ellington, and her brother, Dale (Terry) Ellington, Ann’s spirit will continue to ripple through the generations. Although predeceased by her father, Doil Ellington, her son, Justin Ressler, and her nephew, Zachery Brooks, their memories were held close to her heart and will now become treasured remembrances for those Ann has left behind.

Ann Marie was a proud alumnus of Westfield Academy Central School and continued her education at Jamestown Community College and SUNY Fredonia, where she studied Business. Her passion for learning translated into a remarkable career spanning four decades at Brocton Central School, where she not only worked diligently but also instilled hope and inspiration in countless individuals. Ann also expressed her artistic flair and entrepreneurial spirit as a beautician, running her beloved shop, Hair Essentiality, with grace and style.

Helping people was the essence of Ann’s life. Her involvement with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts showcased her commitment to nurturing the young minds of her community. A selfless volunteer, Ann’s efforts transcended beyond the call of duty, impacting lives quietly but profoundly. She embodied the adage that actions speak louder than words, and her service bore the stamp of genuine caring and compassion.

Ann Marie found boundless joy in her labor, often stating that she loved working in all its forms. But her greatest love was for her family, particularly cherishing moments spent with her adored grandchildren. Each giggle, each small hand clasped in hers, was a treasure that she held in the highest regard, revealing the depth of her affection and unwavering commitment to her loved ones.

Relatives and friends may visit Morse Funeral Home19 E. Main St. Brocton, NY Monday Dec. 15, 2025 from 4PM to 7PM. A mass of Christian Burial will take place 11AM Tuesday Dec. 16, 2025 at St Dominic Roman Catholic Church. Please assemble at Church.

Interment will be in St. James Cemetery Westfield, NY
