Carrol L. Kennedy

Carrol Lee Kennedy, 78, of Stockton, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025 at home with her loving family by her side.

Carrol was born Feb. 19, 1947 in Forestville, NY to the late Dennis and Elaine (Fletcher) Wood.

She was a 1965 graduate of Brocton Central School and went on to work at Ames Department Store, Dickenson’s Restaurant, Fredonia State Child Care Center and was also an election inspector in the Town of Stockton. She was fondly referred to as a Domestic Goddess by her family and friends.

Carrol enjoyed baking, game night, gardening, hosting holidays, bird watching, cooking shows, NASCAR, the Buffalo Bills and doting on her grandchildren. Carol had and angelic voice singing in the church choir and also sang special music during services; Instilling the love of singing into a number of her grandchildren.

She served on the board of directors for the Chautauqua Region Multiple Sclerosis Society, Lifetime member of the Stockton Community Church serving as secretary, President of the ladies aide and volunteered for many programs at church, a member of the Stockton Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Carrol is survived by her four sons, Scott (Debbie) Kennedy, David (Noppawan) Kennedy, Seth (Kris) Kennedy and Richard (Nanette) Kilmer; and three daughters, Patty (Patrick) Ambrose, Pam Kanicki and Dorene Farnham; a daughter in law, Mary Kennedy, 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a lot of bonus grandchildren; her siblings, Christine (John) Yonkie, Lyaine (Sam) Spaulding, Bruce (Tina) Wood, Terry (Dan Culligan) Spinler and Glenda Wood; her brother in law, Joseph Austin, also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Richard Kennedy, a son, Daniel Kennedy and her sister, Dayetta Austin.

Funeral Services will be held at the Stockton Community Church 4554 Railroad Ave. Stockton, N.Y. at 11 am on Monday, Dec. 22, 2025. with the Rev. Richard Hamilton officiating. Family and friends are invited to call at the Morse Funeral Home, 19 East Main St.. Brocton, New York from 3-7 pm on Sunday Dec. 22, 2025. Private Burial will take place in Stockton Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests memorials be made in memory of Carrol to the Stockton Community Church, 4554 Railroad Ave. Stockton, NY 14784, the Stockton Volunteer Fire Department Rt. 380, Stockton, NY 14784 and or the Chautauqua Region MS Society.
