Gregory A. Taylor
South Dayton – Gregory A. Taylor, 72, of South Dayton, formerly of Cattaraugus, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025 at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. He was born on Dec. 31, 1952 in Springville, son of the late Douglas and Wilma (Zeches) Taylor. Greg was a US Army veteran and for many years, he worked at Setterstix in Cattaraugus until his retirement.
He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting, and was a member of the Cattaraugus Rod and Gun Club. He was also a member of the Randolph Moose Club, and always loved sports. He was particularly a fan of baseball, especially the Chicago Cubs, and was a lifelong Buffalo Bills fan.
Greg is survived by two sons; Corey (Deanna) Taylor of South Dayton, and Doug (Becky Lewis) Taylor of Dubois, PA. Also surviving are two brothers; Todd (Jennifer) Taylor of Cattaraugus and Alan (Deborah Farr) Taylor of Randolph, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Greg is predeceased by a sister, Susan Taylor.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cattaraugus/Little Valley Little League Football.
