Mary Ann Rudolph Henderson Buettner, 97, of Westfield, NY, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, at the Heritage Green Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gerry, NY, following a lengthy battle with dementia. She was born May 5, 1928, in Erie, PA, the daughter of the late Earl Rudolph Sr. and Ruth Robertson Rudolph.
She was a 1946 graduate of Forestville Central School. She had worked for many years at Belknap Business Forms in Westfield, NY, also Kingans Pharmacy, the Westfield Republican, and many other retail businesses. She weas also owner/operator of the former Village Dli in Westfield. Later in life she conducted estate sales.
Mary Ann was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Westfield where she served as a Deacon and was also an auxiliary member of the Westfield VFW Post 6764 and the Westfield American Legion Post 327. She enjoyed collecting antiques, Estate Sales, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Randolph Henderson of Dewittville, NY, three grandchildren, Kristin (Sam) Edla of Valley Cottage, NY, Brent (Trisha) Henderson of Lancaster, NY, and Brandon (Caroline) Henderson of Birmingham, AL, six great grandchildren, Silas, Winston, Cooper, Charlotte, Caldwell, and Carter, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Henderson; her second husband, Harry Buettner; her long-time partner, Bill Veringa; a close companion, Richard (Goldie) Brightman; and two sons, Terry and Craig Henderson.
At Mary Ann’s request, there will be no public services observed. A private graveside service will be held in the Westfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family. A celebration of life will be held at a later date and will be announced.
