Thomas C. Green
Thomas Carl Green was born on Aug. 25, 1942 to parents Lewis Henry Green and Ann Marie Hagberg in Dunkirk, New York. He passed away peacefully on Christmas Day, 2025, in Buffalo, New York, with his loving wife, Judith (Gilebarto) Green, by his side.
Thomas grew up in the home his grandparents built on Newton Street in Fredonia. He volunteered to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. After completing four years of service, he returned to Fredonia, where he met and married his wife.
Thomas worked at the True Temper plant in Dunkirk until its closure in the late 1980s. He then relocated his family to Buffalo, New York, where he continued and ultimately retired from his profession as a mechanical engineer.
During retirement, he volunteered as a driver for the VA and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Sofia, Scarlett, Archer, Fae, and Luca .
Thomas was kind, even-keeled and loved.
He is survived by his wife, sons Daniel E Green (Stefanie) and Nathaniel L Green (Suzanne).
Funeral services will be held in private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY.
