David H. Gross

David H. Gross, of Erie, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026. He was born in Erie on June 9, 1942, son of the late Jeanette and Theodore Gross.

David was an Eagle Scout and very active in church and school life. He graduated from East High School in 1960 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Dairy Science from Penn State University in 1964. David went on to his own dairy businesses, first bottling milk and as a milkman at Vine City Dairy in Westfield, NY. He also owned and operated Vine City Dairy Restaurant. David was active in the Westfield community as a member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving as Elder and Trustee. He was a board member of the Jesse Wilson Memorial Trust Fund for many years, and he was involved in other community committees and activities. David loved spending time with his family, his coffee buddies, and his dog, Bailey. He also enjoyed boating, collecting antique milk bottles and mowing the lawn on his antique John Deere tractor.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachery Gross of Westfield. Left to honor David is his daughter, Jennifer Holland (Gregory) of Erie; his son, Jason Gross (Tomi) of Rotonda West, Florida; his son, Jeremy Gross (Lacie) of Westfield; his daughter, Johanna Lennox (David) of Edinboro; his sister, Phyllis Gross of Allison Park, PA; seven grandchildren, Griffin Holland (Gabby), Madison Miller (Christopher), Tyler Scott Lubbers (Victoria), Alaina Edmunds and Emily, Pacey and Ryan Moran; four great-grandchildren and many cousins.

Family and friends may gather at the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 2607 Buffalo Rd., on Wednesday, Jan. 28, from 2 pm until the time of the Memorial Service there at 4 pm, conducted by Rev. Britney Knight. Burial will be private.
