Douglas O. Tubbs, Jr.
Douglas O. Tubbs, Jr., 68, of Overhiser Road, Forestville, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026 at Buffalo General Medical Center following a short illness. He was born in Glens Falls on Feb. 7, 1957, the son of the late Douglas and Shirley Mae (Davies) Tubbs, Sr.
Douglas was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School, Class of 1976. He worked as a Machinist for Dunkirk Specialty Steel Corporation. Previously, Doug worked 26 years as a Machinist for the former Duriron Company. He enjoyed hunting, watching football and spending time with family.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janice (Lillie) Tubbs of Forestville, whom he married on March 7, 1981 in Silver Creek; two daughters, Sarah (Chris) Steiner of Forestville and Kayla Tubbs of Brocton; a son, Jason (Kristal) Tubbs of Bolton Landing, NY; two sisters, Sue Connell and Gail Hayes, both of Jamestown; and two brothers, Orie (Donna) Tubbs of Panama and Ronnie (Lisa) Tubbs of Jamestown. Also surviving are five grandchildren,Abigail Tubbs, Paulie Brown, Kaleb Regan, Liam Brown, Gage Regan; and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Jennifer Tubbs; his son, Gregory Tubbs; two brothers; Larry Champagne and David Tubbs, Sr.; and two sisters; Marilyn Conrad and Jackie Wilson.
