Gary K. Wilson

Gary K. Wilson, 81, of Silver Creek, NY passed away on Friday morning January 2, 2026 at his home with his family at his side.

He was born on March 21, 1944 in Silver Creek, NY the son of the late Walter and Mabel (nee Luder) Wilson. He married Judith Schmitt on May 21, 1966 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church in Silver Creek, NY.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 59 years, Judy Wilson; three loving daughters, Wendy (Frank) Schrantz of Fredonia, NY, Tammy Wilson of Clarence, NY and Christi (Jeremy) Zolnowski of Hamburg, NY; seven cherished grandchildren, Max (Kay Lee) Schrantz, Liam Sheehan, Owen Schrantz, Emma Sheehan, Olivia Schrantz, Brayden Howard and Emerson Zolnowski; two great-grandchildren, Navy and Sutton Schrantz; a dear sister, Gayle (late John) Caruso.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James (late Margaret) Wilson.

Gary was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Silver Creek High School in 1962. He continued his education at Bryant & Stratton College earning an associate degree in “Business Administration”. Gary worked at Tops Markets where he held many positions retiring from the Hamburg store after 35 years of service.

Gary loved listening to music, dancing with his wife Judy and woodworking. He also was active in his community by volunteering for the Silver Creek Volunteer Fire Department.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY.
