Loretta A. Szalkowski

Loretta A. (Skrzypek) Szalkowski, 94, of Dunkirk, passed away peacefully Sunday evening, Jan. 12, 2026 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Dunkirk on July 10, 1931, she was the wife of the late Daniel Szalkowski and daughter of the late Gabriel and Angeline (Madurski) Skrzypek. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. at R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc.; 56 East Doughty St., Dunkirk, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Church of St. Hyacinth; 295 Lake Shore Drive E., Dunkirk, NY.
