Martin R. Wilder

He was born in Gowanda, NY on March 25, 1948, the son of the late Walter and Erleen (nee Brooks) Wilder.

Surviving are four children: Scott (Marlene) Wilder of Gowanda, NY; Shannon (Pete) Blatner of Franklinville, NY; Shawn Wilder of Westfield, NY; and Jessica (John ) Kegelmyer of Fishers, IN; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Douglas (Candice) and Jon (Crystal) Wilder of Gowanda, NY; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Wilder of Gowanda, NY; his former wives, Mary Jo (nee Krotz) Wilder and Suzie Wilder; also survived by many nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick Wilder Sr.

Martin graduated from Cattaraugus High School in 1966. Initially he worked on the family farm he then continued his education at a nursing school in Buffalo becoming a RN. Later on he joined the Carpenters Union local # 66 in Buffalo, NY working for many years, where held many positions, a finish carpenter, foreman and retired as a supervisor. Martin had a strong work ethic he would help anybody if he could.

In his free time he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, listening to country music and watching westerns, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

As per Martin’s wishes there will be no viewing, a Celebration of Life will be held at the convenience of the family.
