Patricia M. Taber
Patricia M. Taber, 77, of Hanover Road, Silver Creek, died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2026 at home surrounded by family. She was born in Silver Creek on Dec. 29, 1948, the daughter of the late Harold and Rena (Mason) Herrington.
Patricia was a graduate of Silver Creek Central School, Class of 1966 and graduated from Nursing School in 1968. She worked as a Registered Nurse for the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center in Helmuth, NY for 25 years. Patricia was an avid Bingo player and loved butterflies. She collected salt & pepper shakers, hurricane lamps and windchimes. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and animals.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl (Winfield) Doner and her son, John Taber, both of Silver Creek. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Sarah, Kayla, Hannah, Cheyanne, Duncan, Shane & Matt and eight great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold R. Taber, whom she married on Oct. 14, 1978 in Sheridan and who died on Aug. 3, 2002, and her brother, Frank Allen Herrington who died May 6, 2017. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
