Terence H. Wilson

Terence H. Wilson, 84, of Silver Creek, NY passed away peacefully on Monday morning Jan. 5, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on Aug. 17, 1941 in Watertown, NY the son of the late Charles and Betty (nee Shaffer) Wilson. He married the love of his life Joann C. Lindenau on Dec. 23, 1961 in Buffalo, NY and she preceded in death on March 13, 2019 after 57 years of marriage.

Terry is survived by his beloved daughter, Kathy (Dennis) Dloniak of Portland, NY and his son Keith (Dorisa) Wilson of Roy, Utah; nine cherished grandchildren: Kiona (Robert) Stern; Trisha (Jose Baez) Wilson; Nicholas (Julie) and Derek (Cheri) Dloniak; Nadine (Anthony) Matteliano; Jamie, Keith II, Michael and Clarisa Wilson; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, David (Leah) Marchetti; his feline companion, “Buddy”; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean and Bob Wilson and step-sister, Karen Ladue and two step-brothers, Thomas and Joseph Oliver and his daughter in law Carlene B Correy.

Terry was a proud patriot who served in the U.S. Marines and retired as a mailman from the U.S. Post Office in Silver Creek after 28 years of service.

In his younger years, Terry served as a Cub Scout leader in the Webelos program. He was well known for his ability to remember birthdays and anniversaries of all his many friends and family. He took great pleasure in calling to remind people when their family members birthdays were. He enjoyed making people feel special.

After retirement, he continued working at the boat dock, drove a truck and his favorite job was working for the Seneca Nation as a card dealer in Niagara Falls, Irving and Salamanca, NY. Terry enjoyed his time as a dealer.

Terry enjoyed people. He always enjoyed storytelling, was happy to share his wisdom and had a great sense of humor. He used to say you can laugh or cry, better to keep your humor and laugh. He also loved traveling around the USA with his wife. He had been a member at the VFW and the Fireman’s Club in Silver Creek.

Friends may call at the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2026 from 2-4 PM where a Celebration of Life will follow at 4 PM.
