William J. Burch, Sr.

William Jeffrey Burch, Sr. (Bill), 62, of Ripley, NY, passed away peacefully on Jan. 13, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Hospital with his family by his side after a lengthy health battle.

He was born Oct. 6, 1963, in Dunkirk, NY to Charles and Clara Burch.

Bill loved his family, classic cars, music (particularly AC/DC & Metallica) and his dog, Wesson.

He is survived by his partner, Ann See, her daughter, Aaliyah See, his two daughters, Bridget (Daniel) Moore of Rock Hill, SC, and Heather (Justin) Hall of Mesa, AZ; his son, William J. Burch Jr.; his former spouse, Wendy (Crates) Burch; his sister, Patricia Diers of Brocton; his brother, Steven Burch Sr, of Clifton, TN; several grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Clara Burch; his brother, Chuck Burch; and his sisters, Evelyn Diers and Susan Purdue.

The family will have a celebration of life in the summer of 2026, Bill’s favorite season.

Memorials may be made in his memory to the Chautauqua County Office of the Aging, who assisted in accommodating his needs at home, the Chautauqua County Humane Society, National Kidney Association, or American Heart Association.
