Donald A. Russo, 79, of Buffalo, formerly of Dunkirk, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on Saturday, March 7, 2026 with his loving family by his side at Buffalo General Hospital.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Thursday, March 12, 2026 from 4-7 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church; 1032 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY. Military Honors will be held by the Dunkirk Joint Veteran Council immediately following the Mass.
Interment will be held in Holy Trinity Cemetery. A complete obituary will be published in Wednesday’s edition of the Dunkirk Observer.
