Robert F. Sobczak

He was born in Dunkirk on Sept. 4, 1941, the son of the late Frank and Winifred (Krzyzanowicz) Sobczak. and worked as a Maintenance Mechanic for the former Carriage House in Fredonia for over 25 years. He served in the Navy and enjoyed traveling and word searches.

Survivors include a daughter Michele (Michael Edmunds) Sobczak, of Elma and his sisters. Also surviving are several grandchildren & great grandchildren and multiple nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his ife Wanda (Holmes) Sobczak, whom he married on July 3, 1963 in the First United Presbyterian Church and who died on September 19, 2016, and his brother Ronald Sobczak.

Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday from 5:30 – 7 PM from where funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in in Cowden’s Corners Cemetery, Town of Arkwright, where Military Graveside Services will be conducted by members of J. Carter Knapp American Legion Post #953, Forestville.
