Salvatore J. DePasquale

Salvatore J. DePasquale, 86, of Silver Creek, NY, passed away on February 28, 2026, after a short stay at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on Aug. 11, 1939, Sal grew up in Silver Creek. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the United States Army, where he served honorably as a Military Policeman (MP). During his service, he was stationed in Germany.

An avid and passionate vegetable gardener, Sal spent his happiest hours tending to his rows of tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini. He was well known for sharing the bounty of his harvest each summer and fall with neighbors, friends, and family. Sal was also known for his armchair analysis and steadfast belief that this is the year for the Buffalo Bills and the New York Yankees.

He is survived by his two sons, Charles (Jennifer) DePasquale of Marcy, NY, and Gregory DePasquale of Fort Myers, Florida; and by his cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth DePasquale of Kansas City, MO; Samuel DePasquale of Charlotte, NC; and Joseph DePasquale of Marcy, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Salvatore was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lucille (Botticello) DePasquale; his parents, Loretto and Mary DePasquale; and his siblings, Anthony, Peter, Nina, Emily, Charles, Loretto, Josephine, and Mary Grace.

The family would like to give special thanks to Greg and Judy Cole and Dawn DePasquale for all their love and assistance over the years.

Funeral services will be private. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Interment will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Silver Creek.
