Athena Jaszczak

Athena (Ferry) Jaszczak of Largo, Florida passed away on March 30, 2026 at Morton Plant Hospital in Largo, Florida. Tina was born in Dunkirk, NY on May 2, 1963 to Kenneth A. Ferry Sr. and Margie Seleska.

After graduating from Fredonia High School, Tina remained in the Dunkirk area while raising her four children. At that time she worked in food service, being a manager in several restaurants. She was a natural leader and a superior trainer/supervisor due to her resiliency, harmonious personality, and knowledge of the food industry. Nearing retirement, Tina moved to Sebring, Florida and lived with her son Ryan and his wife and children. Eventually, she moved to Largo Florida and lived with her father, Kenneth Sr.

And there was BINGO, which was, by far, her favorite pastime! She found this game relaxing, fun, and made many friends there.

Tina adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Near or far, she faithfully kept in contact with them and it gave her true joy being with them in person, or having phone or video conversations with them from afar. Being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was the highlight of her life.

Tina was very uplifting and had a sparkling personality, yet was very emotionally strong and did not complain or wallow. Her family and friends will miss her immensely.

In addition to her parents, Tina is survived by her children, Amanda Flores of Cassadaga, NY; Joshua Raynor of Baldwinsville, NY; Jade Jaszczak of Buffalo, NY; and Ryan (Airene) Jaszczak of Sebring, Florida. She is further survived by her sister, Sandra Ferry of Cassadaga, NY; and four brothers: Kenneth A. (Susan) Ferry Jr. of Fredonia, NY; Daniel (Karen) Ferry of Dunkirk, NY; Eric (Diana) Ferry of Riceboro, Georgia; and Brian Ferry of Ludowici, Georgia. Tina is also survived by eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins also survive. Tina is predeceased in death by two brothers, Wyatt (Dean) Ferry of Dunkirk, NY and Wayde (Renee) Ferry of Ludowici, Georgia, and her step-mother, Linda Ferry of Largo, Florida.

A memorial is being planned at a date to be determined.
