Robert R. Rose Sr.

Robert Roland “Rosie” Rose Sr., 82, passed away on April 9, 2026, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Born on Dec. 12, 1943, in Jamestown, New York, Robert lived a life of dedication to his family, community, and country.

Robert honorably served in the United States Navy as an Engineman, demonstrating his commitment to service and hard work. After his military career, he applied his skills as a mechanic for the New York State Thruway Authority.

A devoted member of his community, Robert was actively involved with the Moose Lodge and served as a volunteer firefighter. His contributions to these organizations reflected his generous nature and unwavering desire to help others. Known for his kindness and steadfast support, Robert left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Robert is survived by his children: Robert Rose Jr., Richard Rose, Roland (Melissa) Rose, David Rose, Ashley (Gabrielle) Dulmus-Rose, and Richelle (Patrick) Harris. He was a proud grandfather to Tyler, RJ, Rayci, Robert, Mikala, Hannah, Emma, Nevaeh, Colten, Leland, and Lilah. His love and devotion will continue to inspire those he held dear.

He was predeceased by his mother, Myrtle Castleman (Fraiser), father, Roland Rose and brother, Richard Fraiser.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor Robert’s memory and the profound impact he had on those who knew him.
