Donald R. Herb

He was born June 16, 1943, in Buffalo, NY to his late parents, Arthur Herb and Inez Fox.

Don served in the United States Navy and was stationed in the Mediterranean.

He worked for Crescent Tool in South Carolina, Flickinger’s in Falconer and Pine Valley Central Schools as a Custodian and a Bus Driver retiring in 2017 after 20 years of service.

Don was an avid sportsman enjoying Hunting, Trapping, Fishing and the comradery with his friends that came with it. Don also enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 34 years Sandy, his children, Kevin (Cindy) Herb and Jodie (Kevin) Duncan; stepchildren, Kristine Martin and Stephan Washburg, his grandchildren, Cy, Haili, Destany, Dakota, Ke, and Seth and two great grandchildren, also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his stepfather Harvey Housenecht.

Relatives and friends may visit DiStasio Funeral Home 478 Route 83 at Balcom Corners South Dayton, NY Monday, May 4, 2026, from 11AM to 1PM where a funeral service will immediately follow.

Interment will follow at Villenova Cemetery with full military honors.
