It’s with heavy hearts that we are writing this.

Janice Elaine Penhollow, 84, a lifelong resident of Cassadaga sunrise December 31, 1941, sunset April 28, 2026.

Daughter of the late Doris and Cecil Penhollow of Falconer, NY.

Janice is survived by her four children, Melody (Gerry) Pierce, Joanne Gilbert – Hopkins, Terri (Byron) Gilbert and Michael Gilbert, sister to Bonnie Frame and Donna Wilder and Harvey Penhollow. She is also survived by her grandkids, great grandkids, a niece and several nephews.

Janice is predeceased by her parents, the love of her life Don “Spider” Dorman, a son Paul Gilbert Jr., two brothers Albert and Glenn Penhollow and a granddaughter, Machele.

She worked as a seasonal grape worker and a waitress at the 76 Truck Stop. Janice also worked at the Cherry Factory in Ripley and ran the Theater Restaurant for years.

She loved Country music “especially singing and dancing” and always looked for a bargain yard sale. Her real love was spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may visit Morse Funeral Home 19 E. Main St. Brocton, NY Wednesday, May 6,2026 from 11am to 1pm where a funeral service will immediately follow with Pastor Richard Hamilton of the Stockton Community Church officiating,

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and or the Alzheimer’s / Dementia Association of Western NY.
