Kevin Moon, 74, of Van Buren Bay, Dunkirk, NY, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Ashtabula, OH, following a lengthy illness.
Kevin was born on November 4, 1951, in Fairmont, WV, to the late Clifford and Dolores Moon. He grew up in Washington, PA, and later graduated from the University of South Florida.
Kevin was a well-known face in the Dunkirk, NY community, where he owned and operated the Central Station Restaurant for 26 years. Following his time in the restaurant industry, Kevin spent 10 years working in the Lawn and Garden Department at Walmart in Fredonia.
Beyond his work, Kevin had a deep appreciation for art, music, sports, and nature which remained passions throughout his life. While he was a man of many interests, nothing topped his love for his family and friends.
Kevin is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Moon; his children, Alex (Lindsey) Moon and Emily (Killy) Moe; his cherished grandchildren, Liam Moon, Dillon Moe, Joella Bauza, and Cruz Bauza; his Siblings, Kenneth (Cynthia) Moon and Bonnie Moon (Mario Steren); as well as many beloved extended family members.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dr. Edward and Dorothy Turich.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
